Following their preliminary part in the early 1980s, o-minimal structures hold provided an elegant and surprisingly effective generalization of semialgebraic and subanalytic geometry. This volume gives a self-contained treatment of the assumption of o-minimal structures from a geometric and topological viewpoint, brazen only rudimentary algebra and analysis. It starts by an introduction and overview of the subject. Later chapters defence the monotonicity theorem, cell decomposition, and the Euler characteristic in the o-minimal setting and become visible how these notions are easier to touch than in ordinary topology. The note-worthy combinatorial property of o-minimal structures, the Vapnik-Chervonenkis property, is likewise covered. This book should be of portion to model theorists, analytic geometers and topologists.
